HOSTEL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • You must keep the rooms clean at all times
  • Defacing of walls, furniture, equipment, etc. is highly prohibited
  • No birthday or other celebrations in the hostel
  • You must turn off all electrical appliances before leaving the hostel
  • Decency in dressing is a must
  • You are responsible for your personal belongings
  • Students are not allowed to use electrical stoves, heaters, etc. in rooms
  • Students are not allowed to organize any group activities in their room
  • Food should only be eaten in the dining hall, not to be taken into the rooms
  • All lights must be switched off at 10pm prompt
  • Use of mobile phones are prohibited in the hostel
  • Call days are Wednesdays by 6-7pm and Saturdays 12-2pm
  • Boys are not allowed into the girls’ room, and vice versa
  • Visitors are not allowed beyond the visiting area
  • Visiting day would be 3rd Sunday of the month between 12 and 6pm
  • Strict silence shall be observed in the hostel from 10pm to 5:30 am
  • Wake up time from Monday to Friday is 5:30am while weekends is 6:30am
  • No unnecessary uproar in the room/noise making is not allowed 
  • Siesta is compulsory between 3:15 and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Breakfast is between 6:45 and 7:10am during weekdays, and weekends by 8:30 am
  • Lunch is between 2:30 to 3:00pm
  • Dinner is between 6:30 and 7:00pm, afternoon prep is between 5 and 6pm, night prep is between 7:30 and 9pm, while light out is y 10pm
  • Hostel inspection is on Saturdays by 8am prompt
  • Stealing of other students’ items is highly prohibited
  • Bullying: The school has zero tolerance to bullying. Offenders are expelled from the school and there will be no refund of already paid fees.
  • Alcohol, drugs and smoking: Christo schools has zero tolerance to alcohol, smoking, hard drugs intake and other related defiant behaviours. Offenders are expelled and no refund of any paid fees. 

Note: None of these rules above require any warning. Once proved, the disciplinary action is invoked. In other words, it is executed on first time offenders.

DENIAL OF FOOD 

      Nobody is permitted to deny any boarder food irrespective of what the student has done. Every boarder is entitled to their meal.

USE OF CANE

      No student is permitted to use cane for whatever reason.

EXTORTION

       No form of extortion is permitted in the hostel.

BOX ROOM

       No student is permitted to go into the box room without the physical presence of the box room supervisor.

OBJECTIVES OF THE BOARDING HOUSE

  • Living in a boarding house with other teenagers or students will enable students develop important life skill and as well, live independent lives
  • It builds social interaction skills among students from different backgrounds 
  • It builds relationship culture among students
  • Team spirit is developed among children

NOTE

  • Confiscated contraband items will not be returned to either students or parents but will be given to the poor or the less privileged
  • Chewing of gum is not permitted 
  • No student should be found outside the gate
  • Use any school property with caution as destruction of any of them attracts a surcharge
